Lee Martin joins Team Xtreme to run the Vega 201

Some of you may have already caught wind of the news that Tamiya racing star Lee Martin will be running the Vega 201 from Team Xtreme during his 2012 season. I recently spent some time with Lee and his new buggy at the Area 51 off-road race meeting. Lee drove like a machine during the event and considering he had only had the car for about a week, he looked more than at home piloting the beautifully created Vega chassis. I took the opportunity to grab some cool shots not just of Lee's new car, but of Lee during his day. More news will follow soon of how everybodys favourite Tamiya factory driver will get on with his new team drive. We are expecting Lee to do what he does best with the new car...and that is fast, fast wins on all surfaces. Watch this space soon for a really upclose feature of Lee and the Vega 201 from Team Xtreme.

I have no doubt that Team Xtreme are over the moon to have Lee driving their 2wd chassis during 2012. Lee looked very comfortable with the Vega and I think we can expect him to be making some really interesting refinements as the year develops. The upshot of this amazing partnership between multiple National Champ Lee and super high quality manufacturer Team Xtreme is the very best team driver feedback for the whole Vega owner family. Roll on the 2012 National Series I say :)
