Race time over at ORRC - Cannon fodder?

We are a little excited over at ORRC HQ. The main reason for our collective excitement is that this Saturday we are set to arrive at the wonderful Silverstone Model Car Club venue in Moulton, Northamptonshire. We are about to begin an eagerly anticipated series of indoor astro races down at our favourite 'out of town' venue.

Our current excitement levels have been doubled by the fact that this, the first race meeting of the winter season, will see both myself and the 'one man off-road army' known as David Williams, running our brand spanking new Rudebits/Kyosho DB1 cars. We have spent some considerable time building and setting up these lovely carbon beasts and just can not wait to get them around the beautiful track down at Silverstone. Our last trip down the M6 saw both of us winning our respective finals and we all agree that as far as a quality race meeting with really friendly people and brilliant facilities, you can not go far wrong at Moulton College. The Silverstone club guys are real experts as far as running professional and exciting events and we really enjoy seeing some old friends who we struggle to collide with on a weekly basis.

The cars are ready, the route is planned, I have stocked up on savoury snacks, and Dave has spent nearly 3 days planning his attack of the first corner. We are really looking forward to seeing how the DB1 handles in our shaky hands. Our thanks go out to everybody who has supported us over the long wet summer. Let the racing commence...well the crashing and mending to be more precise. Either way we can promise a rip roaring day of laughter and fun. Hold on to your lipos folks.....Avit!! :)
